This was one of the last pair of Scoutcars ever built by the 49th - assembled by Mac and myself in 1987 using a simple lightweight aluminium chassis. Although as a group we didn't win any trophies that year, the cars were donated to the 1st Brinklow group, who the following year won the National Scoutcar Grand Prix in one of them!
